I know the topic sounds stupid, but it is not as it seems. I think that during the events of NSMB Bowser created a clone so that he could start working on his plan to take over the universe (Super Mario Galaxy). That clone was thrown into the lava and became Dry Bowser.
If you do not believe me than explain why Bowser and Dry Bowser are two seperate characters in MKW.

Explain why Metal Mario, Dr. Mario, all of the babies, Donkey Kong Jr., etc. have all appeared in the same game as their alternate form. If you accept the games as canon, the only logical explanation for them all is a time machine.

Yeah, but Jr. brought Bowser's bones back to life in the last boss battle.
I think I said this in another topic, but that skeleton doesn't necessarily have to be Bowser's. Since it doesn't have any skin, eyes or color on it's shell, it's impossible to tell who it use to be.

But after you beat Bowser in world one, he clearly is shown to be Dry Bowser...

But after you beat Bowser in world one, he clearly is shown to be Dry Bowser... Or Bowser's clone. I got you there!

Beating Bowser in World 1 has less significance than Jr. turning the skeleton back into Bowser in World 8.

Beating Bowser in World 1 has less significance than Jr. turning the skeleton back into Bowser in World 8. How so? In the lava, he turns into a skeleton.

Well, any ol' Bowser look-alike/clone could have taken a dip. But Jr. undoing the damage seems to prove he was the real deal.

That had to have meant that he died for some period of time until...errr....I dunno. I guess NewSMB is the last gime in the Mario "timeline". Dry Bowser's appearance in MKWii is non-canon, as is the Babies' and DKjr. in Tennis (Well.... That's debatable). Unless the regular Bowser's appearance in MKWii is non-canon. It's so confusing. Why did Nintendo decide to kill off the villain and only partially bring him back?!

Time machines are the answer to all of that.

Time machines are the answer to a lot (a couple) of Mario games

Time machines are almost as bad as Magic IMO

I know, when will the paradoxes end!

Time machines are almost as bad as Magic IMO Not really. They could be possible, we just don't know how yet. Besides, PiT forces us to accept time machines as canon.

xD
Well Magic is forced to be canon also, and nobody likes using that. But, Dry Bowser and the Babies coming to the future creates a huge paradox because you're removing them from the past, therefore killing off the modern versions!

Not if they replace them.

But they don''t, as seen in M&L:PiT and the sports games.
We are talking about time paradoxes, right?
