Do you mean the ones in Mario's world? That's debatable. Otherwise, no way. Biologists do not classify viruses as alive because they do not have the same traits as alive creatures. To be alive, you have to have at least one cell, which viruses lack. Bacteria, however, are alive.

No I mean viruses in general, like germs and bacteria.

"Germs" is a general term for anything that causes a disease and is microscopic. It's not a scientific term. Bacteria are not viruses.

Well, it is a compleatly different world. Scientists there might classifiy viruses differently.

I don't know why all of you don't seem to understand the HUGE differences between viruses and bacteria. Bacteria can be killed, which developed antibiotics. Viruses can not be killed, which is why, when you have a cold, doctors tell you to get plenty of rest (so your body can focus energy on getting rid of the virus), get Vitamin C (not a cure, it protects your cells), and drink lots of fluids (to literally flush the viruses away). They can't find a cure because there isn't one. You can only diseases from bacterial (antibiotics) and fungal (antifungals) diseases. You can only get the virus out of the host. If the biologists classified them together, than they should also put robots and humans together, because they are roughly the same size, can kill a human, and send electric waves throughout their bodies, which are the same similarities bacteria have to viruses. AIDS would hardly be an issue if they are the same. There's no way a biologists would think that.

Yes your right. I thnik of viruses as a microscopic version of a machine. Less complex and smaller than micro-machines though. Of course the ones in ML and even the ones in DM are huge in comparison. Anyway, my issue with the theory is this..Fell free to try and find an explaination but, whenever one virus in the game gets destroyed and there is only one left, the remaining one can be struck multiple times and switch between all colors while not being destroyed. At least I think that happens if you don't finish it in one hit like I usualy do. It's hard to tell when yor states are so high. If anyone has better info on this it would be apreciated. In the possibility that they do cycle between all colors when by themselves, perhaps it is because they are also able to change and manipulate the genetic remains of the destroyed virus. Perhaps they are not able to change and still function onse makeup and maybe when there are 3 and one is destroyed the remaining 2 both try to change the makeup of the destroyed virus resulting in failure in some cases.
Let's try red=xy blue=xz yellow=yz We start with one of each xy xz yz red gets destroyed so we then have..... *xy* xz yz Yellow gets attacked and changes into red and also changes original reds genetic remains. *xz* xz xy Then the same virus is attacked again and gets changed to blue, and also changes orig red's remains again. *xz* xz xz The y gene gose missing and all viruses are destroyed. This works for this situation but I'm not completely sure it will work for all. It could be possible though.

Yes, it still changes colors. Manipulating dead remains seems like too much of a stretch to me. Maybe after it loses its counterpart(s), the Virus steals its missing gene, thus rendering it invincible to color-change kills. But, a Virus can't exist without at least two genes, so it doesn't steal the gene until it's absolutely sure that its comrade won't survive. Also, for some reason this make me think that maybe the Viruses, once destroyed, simply turn into millions of little Viruses.
