There were red shells in Both those games too? So tell me, how did they function in those games? Did they home in on things? How did the green ones function, especialy in Galaxy, aiming it? I havn't played either game. I need to start playing more games...

Green shells fly pretty much straight and red ones home in, normally used in the water. Anyway, the point is, the homing feature is not exclusive to Mario Kart items, so Bloopers aren't different because of it either.

If they can fly in any game, why not Mario Sunshine? edit: also what did shells do in M&S@Os?

I think the fact that they can shoot ink more strongly since they have snouts may have something to do with it.
