What, the Tox Boxes? I'd say they're not related to Thwomps: they're metal, obviously man-made (look at the bad paint job), and don't float. They're definately magically animated because they don't have any moving parts.

Why would someone be so dumb to make the open cavity in them?

Why doesn't Bowser just kill Mario?

I don't think killing Mario would do any good. Luigi would come after him. So kill him too. Then Yoshi will come. Then Toad. Then Geno. Then Mallow. Then the stars. Then Peach'll bribe Wario and Waluigi to do it. Then Toadsworth. Then Daisy. Then Peach. Then Mario's partners in the Paper Marios. Need I go on?

Yes I have. Let me just say this...Best movie ever!!! But honestly, what were those holes in the toy boxes for? Other than to make them way easier to dodge?

To make Mario think he had a chance of getting by them. If they had no holes, Mario wouldn't be as tempted to go over to them and get squashed. Or mybe the're just box creatures minding their own buisness, rolling around for fun. They certainly didn't seem like they were intentionaly chasing after Mario.

The hole thing doesn't make much sense; a better plan would to make the holes just too small for Mario to fit in them. He might of used a Mini Mushroom then but at least you could see Bowser attempting something.

Then I'd go with my second theory. Also, I think you might be giving Bowser too much credit...>_>

He does manage to run an entire empire with a giant army. Besides, he probably has generals who discuss plans of battle with him.

His kids are the generals. And the rolling thwomps are called tromps. I just saw rise of the mushroom kingdom, it's great.

I think they were referring to the rolling mummy Thwomps from SM64. Plus, he also has General Guy, the only war-themed guy in his army I can think of.

These guys were tan in previous Paper Mario games. There are also smaller versions in Yold Ruins.
