The Spinia species in Paper Mario 2 are made up of a few thin disks with eyes, teeth and/or spikes. The disks don't appear to be attached and even so, their bodys are paper thin wheres their organs? When they get it their disks seperate just a little bit.

I'd say they're magically animated disks of some material. No way they're creatures.

0_o how did you assemble the sprites in that picture? Don'tthe spinia rips show only a top view? Anyway, I doubt it's alive. In fact, I remeber Goombella saying somthing about them being made of cardboard in one of her tattles.

I think the cardboard thing was just a comparision, not a description.
And I think those are screenshots, not sprites.

And I think those are screenshots, not sprites. Not from a screenshot but close enough. Spinia Tattle: A totally weird creature made of thin, papery boards. It certainly looks unique. Nobody knows much about these creatures, actually. Its attacks are super-swift, but it should be pretty easy. Just give it a "Hee-YAAA!" Spinia Tattle Log: A strange creature made of thin, papery boards. Still a completely mysterious species. Spunia Tattle: Its body is made up of springy discs. It may not look like much, but it's pretty tough. It won't come at you with anything too weird, so just hang in there, OK? Spunia Tattle log: A creature with a body made up of springy discs. It may not look like much, but it's pretty tough. (Spanias had no useful information)

Well, they're definately magical animations then.

Papery thin, springy disc-board. I assume she's talking about cardboard? And yeah, these guys are definitely magically animated. Maybe they're part of the Koopa Army.

I don't see why they would be. All they have is speed, which Koopas can get by shell-shooting themselves.

Magic certainly is a board-wide topic here, eh?
I guess it's the only explanation that makes sense.

If you have a better one, feel free to fill us in. Magic is sort of our catch-all for extremely strange stuff that doesn't appear to be technically possible.
