The good ones seem to have some sort of AI that the bad ones don't have. And maybe it's cheeper to make bob-ombs with less armor. Bowser, looking for a way to mass produse bob-omb, most likely dousn't use extra armor the result of witch is they are good for one use only. By the way, don't you think it's expensive to put AI into bob-ombs?

Yes but it gives them more ability to hit targets.

But if he mass produces them, he will have a larger army, which could cause the enemy to be more scared, meaning they may give in...

So I think the bad bob-ombs have no armor and very little AI, whereas the good ones do.

So some bom-oms have the artificial intelligence to be considered as a "living species' while others are just used as simple one time use wepons.

Hey, I just joined..
I read over this topic and was thinking..
perhaps they are a plant.. I think this because in MB2 they could be found by pulling those shrubs from the ground.. and maybe they reproduce by shooting spores into the air when exploding?.. and perhaps bowser harvest them..

Hello birdman. (where have I heard that name before?)
Although bob-ombs can be gotten from shrubs in SMB2, it is unlikely that they are plants.

Koopa shells, pow blocks, and stop watches can also be gotten the same way. I think all the things were just buried there and over time weeds grew around them for some reason.

Weeds grow everywhere, so we don't need a reason for that. If they've been buried then that provides some disturbed ground for weed-growing.

Why would the weed attach itself to the item?

That's just what weeds do. Maybe they do it for extra suport or to make it harder for them to be pulled up. But that's one of the reasons they are so bad for other plants because they do that to other plants' roots and take up all the water and nutreints.

One time I put my foot in a weed and the next year I had to pull my foot out of the ground
