As I was saying...Didn't Bobbery's wife die of an illness?

Welllll...unsure. Maybe to Bob-ombs, chronic rust is a disease or something.

YM brings up a point about seeing the Fahar outpost's bomb-ombs breath. I don't think machines or magicaly animated things need to breath. And also Bobbery doesn't drink some chuckola cola before falling asleep, wouldn't that be bad for a machine to have liquid enter it?

Some computers use water in tubes to help cool it down.
And I just thought that the breath could be from a vent or exhaust.

Okay, here's what we have (correct me if I'm wrong). Bob-ombs are machines. Some are built with high AI and some are built as walking bombs. They release some kind of exhaust, probably carbon monoxide, which means they run off of gasoline. Liquids can act as cooling agents when poured into their mouths. They are produced in adult and child varieties, sometimes as sets. They can explode without destroying themselves if they so choose.

Highly doubt gasoline fuel system. The fumes are poisonous to creatures, and I don't see anyone choking when near a Bob-omb.

In order for their breath to only apper when it's cold, it has to have some water vapor in it. I'm guessing it's mostly made of Co2 and water. Sort of like a car exsaust, but less of it in a smaller concentration.

That works. Now, as for who built the first bob-omb, I say the Koopas. Then certain mechanics got ahold of them and retooled them to be less hostile.

Maby toads built the red onse to protect them from the black onse. Wasn't there something in MP4 that said something about bomboms being aleins or some thing? Or maby I imagined that. Or was MP2?

Why would the koopas make machines that have emotions? (At least some bob-ombs do)

Maby they are machines that have been magicaly givin a soul. But there are still some that are still just robots with limited artificial intelegence.

That seems so freakin likely....

What do you mean boos? If you are suggesting that bob-ombs are just regular bombs possesed by boos, I might remind you that there are no recorded sightings of any boo possesing anything(unless you think that king boo possesed bowser corpse in LM).

Are you really banned?
Well anyway. I agree with you that it's unlikely that bomb-oms are possed by boos. But boos do have the power to posses things. In Super Mario 64 they possesd a whole bunch of stuff like books and furniture, and I think think that piano was possesed. Also in Mario Party 1-_- they could posses players....

Well I havn't played MP1 but maybe the boos just turend invisable and picked stuff up in SM64, I say this because in YIDS flowerpots and stuff seams to move aruond by itself in hector the reflectors fort, but when you fight hector it is reveald they were carried around by invisoghouls(tiny versions of hector).
P.S. I am not really banned.
