Ok, I have another question, Why do chomps act like dogs? I know the literal reason of how Miyamoto nearly got attacked by a big chained dog when he was a kid. But what really makes them behave the way they do? Actuall dogs aren't even that common in the mushroom world, unless you count poochys.

I classify chomps as bio-mechanical, there what ever mammals, reptiles, and insects are called. As for the dog like behavior, I think that chmps are trained to be like watch dogs

Chain chomps seem to be the mushroom worlds equivilent of dogs.
FUN FACT: In super paper mario, there is a boss called the underchomp in the underwhere. It's a chomp with 3 heads baced off ceberus from greek mythology.

They can't be, Poochy is a real dog.
But yeah, Chomps do always seem to be guarding things, even when they're out in the middle of nowhere.

I have a question concerning the Underchomp. In SPM it is referred to as a three headed chomp. But, it is only three chain chomps tied to a small post. Why is it called three headed then?

I think it is just a parody of Cerberus

Obviously it is a parody of Cerberus, but still, that doesn't nessecarily mean that it is called three headed just for laughs...

Mario is a parody of NOA's landlord and we don't dismiss him as such. So we can't do this with anyone else.

Maybe it's so rare to see three Chomps so close together that they call it three-headed.
