Another thing about munchers, it's seems they could still move even when you pause the game

Interesting though that is, I'm not sure it would have an effect on the actual properties of munchers since the whole concept of pausing the game doesn't exist in-universe, if you know what I mean.

Sorry to say this, but the pic YM posted aren't munchers. They're Nipper Plants. Munchers are invincible black plants that don't bear any resemblance to Piranha Plants.
Just sayin'.

Those are munchers, then, right? They're rooted, so I'd guess that they're not much different from Piranha Plants in biology. The nippers, on the other hand, are free-moving, so they're probably scavengers.

maybe they dont like sunlight cause it creates heat they do only die when hit by a fire ball. And maybe they're not sub-species maybe the people who live in those places name them differently popopo. You must remember that pirahna plants chute fireballs,so how do they project flame when there weak to it.

Pipe Land is obviously a dry sunny area so the pipes create condesation. Kinda like the condensation farms on tatooine in star wars. They don't like fireballs cus they're plants.

The difference, rex, is that the plants don't pelt their bodies with their own fire balls. Mario hurls balls of flame at their bodies.

Yes, yes.....Munchers don't seem to be verry closely related to Piranah plants except the fact that they are all carnivorouse plants. Although they could possibly be related to a type of Piranah plant. I just don't think it is one of the everyday piranah plants you see in most Mario games. There are some piranah plants like the one in MKDD:DryDry Desert that are big and green. I used to think that one like that was just an adult form of a lesser type. Actualy I still beleive that to be the case, just wanted to throw out a few extra possibilities........I think that piranah plant is the adult form of the green leafy pipe dwelling piranah plant or perhapes the putrid piranah plant or one of the tropical poranah plants (Is drydry desert in the tropics .....:/.....),....;just as Piranah plants like Naval Piranah and the large piranah plants from Yoshi Story are the adult forms of the comon red piranah plant found everywhere. Is there a piranah plant thread somewhere?

I just remembered....Naval Pirana had magic growth harmons added :/ But, I still think it would be possible for any of the common red piranah plants to grow the same size if they had enugh time and food. Like the onse from Yoshi Island.

I think that nippers are baby Piranah plants, when they reach a certain age they stick there roots in the ground and become munchers.

I don't think munchers are that closely related to piranah plants. Nippers turn into piranah sprouts once theve rooted...

Humph, how do you explain that they look eggsacly the same except for color.

They are both plants :/ The color of nipper plants is closer to a grown piranah plant anyway. As they get older parts of their body start to turn red until only a few white spots are left. So why would a nipper go from white to black to white/red?

I think they are related to piranah plants just not the common red and white spotted versions.

pirahna plants are not just red, they can also be green. But anyway, I still think munchers are a subspicies of nippers, lots of plants and animals change color as they grow.

I think nippers may be the baby form or a subspecies of piranha plants. But there's really no evidence supporting that munchers are related to either one.

Your right, there is no evedence that nippers and munchers are related but I still think they are.
