I find it hard to believe that a creature could naturally evolve exactly the same on two seperate worlds.

There could be some rift that transported them from one world to the other "recently". The Marioverse seems somewhat dimensionally unstable (what with the DKverse being so close and stuff like that).

If Pikmin live on Earth in the future that means that either Mario is in the future or the Pikmin went into a rip in the space time continum

Some things you just have to accept as non-canon, though. Like Satoru Iwata having a cameo appearance in Wario Ware.

But since you ask I might as well just say it, the pipe that Mario used to get from Broklin to the Mushroom kingdom/ the one he also pos/probably used to get from Dinosaure Island or wherever.%^64 rto to get to earth or Broklin or whenever whenever wherever whenever........

BTW, I saw this really funny video.
Stage: Mario, Peach, (and Luigi) in the real world
Mario goes down a sink to escape Peach and get outside. It's hilarious, Peach is all like "NoooooooOoOoooo""MariooooOOoooo".

I can rember in pikmin 2 you can find peach's crown, the key from SMB2, and empty tubes of Mario Paint on the ground.
