I think Boo's are just a Species, not really Ghost, as they appear to have never been Alive. Although, the Ghost from Luigi's Mansion could have been Alive at some point, but I doubt it!

They were deamons created by the Shadow Queen 1000 years ago, so, yeah, they never really lived. Although a Boo or two in PM say they were alive before...

Is that Fact from Paper Mario 2, or is it a Theory, either way it would Explain there Existance and why so few of them are Good(Basically just the ones Bow is affiliated with)!

It's not a theory, it's a fact. And I think there are a few more "nice" Boos through the MW, as there are the ones in Bowser's army (the member of the army aren't that evil actually) and the ones in Rogueport.

Is there evidence for any of that? I haven't played Thousand Year Door for ages, but I don't remember hearing about the origin of Boos in said game.

The guy on the roofes tell you the story of the thousand-year door. He says the Shadow Queen created a lot of monsters to terrorize people in "Rogueport and surrounding aeras" (basically the aeras shown on the game's map, we don't know the name of that aera) and that one of them was a Boo (that later joined the heroes). So Boos are monsters created by the Shadow Queen, not humanly creatures like Toads and Koopas.

I guess that would explain why Boos tend to disappear when exposed to light.

Unlike popular belief, light (no matter if it's sunlight, artifical light or moonlight) doesn't affect Boos at all. They only disappear when someone is looking at them (because they are shy) or simply at will. Actually, due to the Boos living in Gusty Gulch, they may even like light. They however prefer desolated mansions and dark places because their job is to scare people.

What about the Boos from the Galaxy Games, they dissapear in Light. Well maybe Boos who've lived in Darkness for ao Long have difficulty adjusting to the Light, and thus Vanish.

Like someone who lived in the dark for most of its life, if said someone would come out its eyes would burn or even "die". Or maybe that it's because those Boos are in space and thus behave a bit differently. Or tose "lights" are actually beams that destroy bodyless spirits. But I'd rather go with EpicGyllynn's theory.

Yeah the whole "light kills boos" theory didn't exist before the galaxy games, and some Boos can even be looked at without disappearing.

Maybe it's just different species with different weaknesses. Those from outer space are one and have certain weaknesses, and those from Mushroom World are different based on the area. There's probably a good evolutionary explanation for this somewhere.

Even if Species Evolved in Mushroom Universe(Which I think they Don't), Spirits can't Evolve. The Theory of Evolution is a Physical Process and CANNOT affect Spirits!

Maybe that some are so shy that they can't go outside and will vanish at light, while some others are less shy and can go outside ? That's nit about evolution, that's about personality.

My comment was directed at Cheat-Master, actually. I think they some just got so used to living in Darkness, they don't have time to Adjust.
