Someone knows something particular about the country whoever Paper Mario 2 took place? In other Mario fansites they say that it's a border of the Mushroom Kingdom, but personally I think it's another country, because Toadsworth said that they came there to get supplies when Peach wanted to do tourism.

At first, I thought it may be the Waffle Kingdom, since you keep running into Luigi. But none of the places he talked about in his story added up to the PM2 map. I highly doubt it's the Mushroom Kingdom, since some people barely knew who the Princess was. I'm gonna guess it's some other yet to be named country located near the Waffle Kingdom.

The story of the game says that Peach was "on a tour of the Mushroom Kingdom" or something. But if that landmass isn't in the MK, then why would she be there? A rest stop or something, maybe?

Played the intro, and he doesn't say a thing about not being in the Mushroom Kingdom.
He deos say that they stopped at Rogueport for some feul for the ship.

The PM2 land mass "could" be by the PM landmass, I always thought it was on the western most cost of the mushoom kingdom

We know that the SMRPG islands/landmass and the PM landmass are not connected, and yet they are both considered part of the Mushroom Kingdom, so why does this landmass have to be attached to anything?

It doesn't have to be but it's geography with the mountains on either side make it a good candidate for being next to the PM map.
And America owns Alaska and Hawiee, which arn't connected to the states.

I find it funny that you didn't spell Hawaii right. But yes, the USA does own land outside its mainland scope (Alaska being bought from the Russians). But why would the MK aquire a distant piece of land? I don't see any real advantage of it.

If you're Imperialistic. But the Mushroom Kingdom seems like a peaceful, cooperative power to me. I doubt they've conquered anything in a long time, if ever.
The PM landmass just seemed like a different country. Maybe it was because of Rogueport's grimey, dangerous feel.

Poshley Heights seems like a good candidate to me because of its wealth and the fact that we saw, I'm assuming, very little of it in PM2.
Of course, any decision we make on this issue will probably be completely unsubstantiated and therefore useless anyway.
Anyway, what does everyone think? Is the PM2 landmass part of the Mushroom Kingdom?

WE got to remember that Mario probably didn't visit every single city in the country during PM2, he only went where the crystal stars were. And the game developers weren't going to feature places on the map that you couldn't even go to, It would be a waste of time and effort. The capital city is probably one of these unmentioned cities.
And yes, I do think it is it's own country.
