I wouldn't think so. Blood colour has to do with its composition, and I don't think a white Yoshi would have lead-based blood or a yellow one to have nitrogen-based blood.

Dosen't seem very likely, since the color of blood is due the chemical that carries oxygen, not just a pigment.

Do Yoshi's have bones in their noses or what?
There's a skull of something that looks like a Yoshi in the first level of world 6 in Yoshi's Island.

I do remember Yoshi having a nosebone in Smash Bros 64 (electric attacks showed skeletons, and Kirby/Jigglypuff were completely black while Yoshi's honker was white like the rest of his head).

Heh, I remember the first time I noticed Kirby had no bones. XD

Yoshi's nose definitely has bones. It's like a dinosaur's snout, and those all have bones in them.
What about his cheeks? Is that fat or bone?

They'd need to be at least slightly non-bone, considering how much they have to expand.

Well stretchy ligaments and cartilage come into place there, like a snake.
And they obviously have some jaw bone connected to the skull.

I wouldn't be surprisled if yoshi's could unhindge their jaws, considering we've seen them eat things as big a mega moles and electro-koopas.

Yeah, that'd have to be a requirement. The majority of their body must be really flexible in order to take in such large prey. Their whole skeletal system could "unhinge," perhaps.

I don't know about their whole body, but I definatly think their head can do that. If you look carefully in YI, you can see Yoshi's whole head is flattened when he hits a block above him.

Or they have crushing and grinding muscles

Maybe their food starts to digest as soon as it enters their mouth. By the time it goes down their throat, it's already mush.

Ahem,
In super Mario RPG boshi wore sandals and you could see his toes, this proves the there shoes are not hooves, they are shoes.
I highly doubt that there saddles are shells.
Yoshi's cannot change there color without the help from the vanishing fruit on isle delphinio.
A Yoshi's saliva is not acidic, in various games they can spit enemys out and the are not diggested.

We've talked repeatedly about Yoshis being able to control their saliva.
And they must have shells. Have you ever seen a Yoshi without a shell since SMW? (SMW's Yoshis are the most different from any Yoshis in any game.) Saddles aren't shaped like that, anyway. It's more like a seat.

I know. It used to be a spike, but addapted over time to make them more easier to ride on. Some group must have riden yosis in a symbiotic relationship in the past. Mario probably wasn't the first.
