So Bowser's Keep is in the Mushroom Kingdom? I find that hard to believe.

No, but it's near the mushroom kingdom. This happened in M&LPIT too.

Dark Land needs to be at least 50 miles away from the Mushroom Kingdom. I can't see a volcanic ashy Mordor next to the happy Shire.

It depends on which way the wind tends to blow. Volcanic ash wouldn't leave Darkland if the wind blows it away from happier places.
But that would force it to the edge of the continent.

No, but it's near the mushroom kingdom. This happened in M&LPIT too. Notice how that castle has a giant statue of Baby Bowser on it? It's a different castle than the one in SMRPG. And don't say the statue was destroyed because it's still on the present-day map.

Bowser's castle, like Mario's haose and the Mushroom castle, seem to have a habit of changing appearence depending on what game you play. So we can't say for sure that they're all different castles. ------ Personally I prefer the PM series version, since it has had three appearences without changing it's look much.

Most of the castles and places had different names though. I know it's picky, but look at the subtle differences. (Mario's Pad to Mario's House, Mushroom Castle to Peach's Castle, Bowser's Castle to Bowser's Keep, etc.) And many of Bowser's castles were destroyed.

Nintendo created Yoshis to be sort of Chineese Dragon like and Dinosaur like at the same time to create an individual character

About the long-ago topic of english on the Mushroom Planet, I never thought any of them DID speak english, instead, there's some kind of Mushroom Language that everyone except Yoshies speak. I mean, look at the printing on the signs in SMS and the text of the book at the beginning of PMTTYD.

Well, I partially agree with you. I do believe that they don't actually speak English or Japanese or any other language they have spoken in the media before. I also believe that they have their own language. However, I believe there are far more than just two languages on Mushroom Earth. Most of the individual kingdoms probably have their own language, including the Mushroom Kingdom, Dark Land, Beanbean Kingdom, Isle Delfino, etc.

I always saw it as more of an inter-species comunication thing. Sort of like how in some cartoons all the animals can talk to eachother. I'm not sure if humans are included in that category...

Most of the individual kingdoms probably have their own language, including the Mushroom Kingdom, Dark Land, Beanbean Kingdom, Isle Delfino, etc. That's a bit of a stretch, considering how no one ever has any apparent translation difficulties (with certain exceptions, such as that chef on the Excess Express). And everyone (including children) being bilingual is farfetched.

Maybe since pretty much all of the things spoken in Mario games are in Subtitles or word boxes there is more than one language in the ME and Mario either understands all of it or he has a language translator in hammerspace. (Maybe that is why why he doesn't say anything people understand him)

Let's (re)start with those berries in the SMG2 trailer. Apparently, turquoise berries give Yoshis a load of air, while orange ones make them run really fast. Maybe the turquoise ones are full of a compound that releases tons of hydrogen when digested.
