Well, you may have noticed that in one of our other threads that we mentioned how awesome it would be for a Super Mario compilation disc were to come out for the Gamecube (or the Revolution or DS, for that matter). So I figured, why not make a thread about what we would want on the compilation?
I'll go ahead and go first. I'm gonna try and be realistic about what they'd throw in there so here's my list:
Starters
Super Mario Bros (All-Star version)
Super Mario Bros 2 (All-Star version)
Super Mario Bros 3 (All-Star version)
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Unlockables
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
Wario Land II
Wario Land 3
Wario Land 4
Yoshi's Story

I think they should make a spinoff game collection to complement the mega collection. Games like Super Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis GBC, Dr. Mario, etc. Soon we would have all Marioverse games in a few handy packages.

We also need a Super Mario Land through Wario Land 3 collection with SNES caliber grahpics and a few other updates.

Definately. The two Gameboy games that need remakes over all else are Super Mario Land and Metroid II: Return of Samus (which really doesn't have anything to do with this thread so I'm not sure why I brought it up ^_^).

Full color, and added sprites. Better backgrounds and things.

Yeah, Metroid II definitely needs an overhaul. Its outdated graphics and rarity probably make it inaccessible to most new Metroid fans. They could do a lot with it these days.

Speaking of a remake of Super Mario Land, it would be really great actually see what Sarasaland looked like. Let's say on SNES graphics?

Yeah boy.
On a side note I always use mountains to connect deserts with other more tropical areas of places.

Yeah, Sarasaland should definitely be revisited soon. Maybe in the SMB sidescroller for DS one of the worlds could be an area of Sarasaland.

Or even better, a 3D platformer.
