Well we couold always make a PDF for a 10-sided die. But the thing about Paper dice is that is you make even the smallest thing uneven, it could make a certain side weigh more, which would make the chances of a certain number appearing higher. Anyways. I think this is a great idea and we should certainly make more than one board. And I know not everyone will agree with me when I say this... but I think that the later Mario Parties came up with some pretty good board ideas that could be implemented in this. Example: One board could be really long and have a star spot at the very end (when you get it you go back to the beginning) Another Example: Something like Koopa's Tycoon Town (MP8). This board was actually quite fun to play on. Other good boards that should appear in some way: Pirate Land, Waluigi's Island (you know you want it Arte ), Goombas Board in MP4, One of the many Bowser stages (Bowser Land comes to mind here, but there are quite a few others too.) Other ideas: Maybe an Isle Delphino Board? Good Egg Galaxy? Luigi's Mansion? Yoshi''s Island? 25 meters? There are a lot of possibilities to choose from.

Alright then, I feel that we've got the ideas down pretty good, so what's our first step of action?

We don't have anything substantial yet, actually. Some people should suggest some minigames first. The board design is the fun part, but minigames are the hard part, and doing the fun part first means we'll stop at the hard part and never finish.

One minigame could be like a Bob-Omb Toss: One player is randomly selected to get the Bob-Omb, and there's a count that starts at 4. You "toss" the Bob-Omb to another player and then they roll a die. If it's above 4, the count goes up by one (Maxing Out at 5). If it's 4 or below it goes down one. And then the player who has it when it gets to 0 gets knocked out of the game. And it continues until only 1 is left. But each time a player get out, the Max Count goes down one. So when it's 3 players it's 4, and 2 =3.
Also there could be a mini version of Apples to Apples. With way less words and way less adjectives, and the green "apples" should mostly be Mario related.
And remember Honeycomb Havok from MP2? there was a row of fruit, a couple coins, and the beehives, and you chose whether to get 1 or 2 and try to force the others to get the beehives and lose the minigame. That would work perfectly in board game-style. We could also diguise another version into a different minigame, where you choose 1, 2, or 3. It makes it way different.

First one is a good idea, but since it is mostly dice rolling, it's more chance-based than skill-based. As I said previously, Mario Party has tons of chance games, but it would be great if we included as much skill-dependent things as possible... "skill" being defined as "anything not directly recognizable as luck". Apples to Apples is a card-based game, and it's better to keep the number of cards/tokens/utensils the players have to use to a minimum. This game will be no fun if every minigame needs three pages worth of cutouts to play. I wonder if there's a way to play it without cards... Honeycomb Havoc is a variation of the ancient game of Nim, and yes, Nim is perfect for a Mario Party board game, we could have several different variations of it. There could be a 4-player version, 2-vs-2, 1-vs-3, duel, etc. etc. Thank you for your ideas! I hope more people will contribute!

I forget what that one game was called.... it was in Mario Party 2 or 3... you had to draw as many circles around Toad's head as possible. Now I know it is hard to tell exactly how many circles you can draw around an object, but it would be a great pencil and paper game if we could make some variation of it.
Also, Eatsa Pizza from Mario Party 3. You draw two pizzas (pretty much two big circles or half circles on a piece of paper that have lots of "toppings" which are darkly drawn lines and scratches). Whoever erases their pizza first, WINS. Although the people playing have to draw the pizzas themselves since printer ink isn't erased that easily.

Oh, this sounds great! Drawing-based minigames, that is an idea that can yield many interesting results.
In addition to your propositions, I have been also thinking about something like "fill up this square area with circles in a limited time, whoever has more (i.e. smaller) circles wins".

Maybe you could like make it count down from 10 without any dice involved, and then you can either pass it or hold it.

OK, some mini-games I came up with are I spy, Simon says, and Pictionary (maybe a more simplified version)... and I liked your idea for charades.

I thought I posted my other idea already.....
It's like a mini-RPG, 1v3. There's a few default maps (maybe), or the Game Master (the 1) can use a set number of tiles to make their own to mix it up. They then place traps in different areas, and the 3, who have no map, can ask the GM certain questions, but only 1 per person (maybe 2) per "Turn". The GM has to answer but can be vague to try and trick them and get them to move into a trap and die. If the 3 players all last a set number of turns (Or if they reach some hidden treasure chest. maybe just containing coins?) Then they win.

Is anyone planning to actually make this?

I planned, as I made this, to take over the visual design aspects while the rest of us provides the minigames, but it dawned on me that on this forum, we are both too few in number and too different in our opinions to make collaboration on such a huge project possible. Also, testing it out would be a problem since if any of us had real-life company to play extremely nerdy Mario board games with, we probably wouldn't hang out in this forum... as sad as that is.

I actually do have many many geeky friends that would play this game, during school, and be fine with it. Down here in the South we're all pretty fine with this kinda junk, most of the popular people are geeks too lol. Except the potheads and the rednecks. They're just idiots @_@. Anyway back on topic.... I could easily test all this stuff out if it was made. I just couldn't make it myself because #1 I don't have a printer and can't install one because the CD drive doesn't work. and #2 I have no artistic talent for sh** So uhh I think we should get a couple people to do the boards at the same time some others do the minigames. Me = latter. There's enough of us on here (I guess 10 of us right?) to make this, more than 20 would make it too hard anyway!
