He's still got to be an hero though...

That's "a hero". "An hero" is someone who commits suicide. www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=an%20heroWell, he's just the mascot of the Yoshis. He's not special as much as he is simply popular. Just like Pikachu is the most popular Pokémon without being all that strong or cool.

Oh. That's the most hilarious error I've ever done. Really, I laughed.

So yeah, there's no real reason why YIDS should take place before YS.

Aside from the fact you see Yoshi's birth at the end of YIDS and at the start of YS. You didn't gave an argument against that yet. :/

I did. He's shown being born twice.
That, and the green Yoshi in YS is also shown hatching alongside the five other Yoshies, while the one from YIDS's ending was not. I don't really see why they need to be the same Yoshi anyway. Can't there be multiple green Yoshies?

He's shown being born once, but the same scene is shown twice, and differently. I mean, if at the end of NSMBW you saw SMG's intro but in 2D, would you deny SMG happens right after NSMBW because the scene is shown twice ?
And, the way his birth is shown in YIDS is to show he's a Star Child. The way his birth is shown in YS is related to the story. Oh, and you think there are multiple characters named Yoshi ?

It would be one thing if the exact same intro to SMG was shown at the end of NSMBW, but you're seriously grasping at straws to prove that the Yoshi in YS is the same as the one from YIDS's.
And yes, I do believe there are multiple Yoshies. It's the name of the entire race. The green Yoshi we see hanging out with Mario is probably the same one every time, but there are several instances where it probably isn't, such as the one from LavaLava Island in Paper Mario, or the one from outer space in SMG2.

I was merely giving an exemple. <___<"
And Nintendo calls him "Yoshi", which means there exists an unique character with that name. Who do you think that is, though ?

Well, it doesn't matter whether it's one green Yoshi or several, since he has no special powers other than "appearing in games" that's like saying Paris Hilton is special because she goes to many parties.

He's Mario's best friend. That counts, right? .....right?

No wonder Luigi feels left out of things.

Yeah, well, he DID get to lead the Parade in SMRPG and Paper Mario.
