I thought they were gray too, but I might be mistaken.

You'd think it'd be the other way around, considering that Spinies have small spikes...but whatever.
Oh yeah that reminds me. What about Bristles? It's a bit of a stretch, though.

They are rock creatures but that's it, they don't have anything else in common.

And sometimes Thwomps have googly eyes like them, but that's beside the point.

Are thwomps made of rock or do they just have a hard shell?

We can't really find that out. It could be rock, it could be a shell that looks like rock, it could be a shell derived from rock, etc. There's no info on it anywhere.

In Paper Mario? I'm pretty sure some blocks in Bowser's Castle were shaped like them, but I can't remember physically meeting them.

Yeah, there were no Thwomps or Whomps in PM. And only the one Thwomp in PM:TTYD, which couldn't be tattled or anything. Can you tattle the Thwomps in SPM?

Post by Rex on Jun 15, 2007 12:03:55 GMT -5
You can tattle everything in SMP, including thwomps. Thwomps also have catch cards.

Do you know what the card says, by any chance?

Oh wait!. Maybe that was SMB3. They look almost exactly alike in both games so I get them confused sometimes. Srry....

Actually, I read the instruction manual for Super Mario World, and yes, they are called stone ghosts.
